Is your cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) tubing defective?
There are many signs of defective PEX tubing. By examining the fracture location, orientation, fracture propagation, and mechanism we can determine whether a fractured PEX tubing has failed as the result of a defect. The examination can also reveal degradation, environmental stress cracking, and crazing, which can also point to a defect.
